Type genus: ¤ Acidilobus Prokofeva et al. 2000.
Etymology: N.L. masc. n. Acidilobus, the type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending denoting a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Acidilobaceae, the family of Acidilobus.
