Note: Goodfellow et al. 1986 propose to transfer ¤ Actinopycnidium caeruleum Krasil'nikov 1962 (Approved Lists 1980), the type species of the genus Actinopycnidium, to the genus Streptomyces as ¤ Streptomyces humiferus Goodfellow et al. 1986, nom. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Actinopycnidium to ¤ Streptomyces.
