Etymology: N.L. gen. n. ciceronei, of Cicerone, named after Professor Ralph Cicerone, an American atmospheric chemist who has made many seminal contributions to our understanding of the chemistry of atmospheric trace gases, with particular reference to his work on the biogeochemistry of methyl halides.
