Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Catalinimonas, type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Catalimonadaceae, the family of the genus Catalinimonas.
Valid publication: CHOI (E.J.), BEATTY (D.S.), PAUL (L.A.), FENICAL (W.) and JENSEN (P.R.): Mooreia alkaloidigena gen. nov., sp. nov. and Catalinimonas alkaloidigena gen. nov., sp. nov., alkaloid-producing marine bacteria in the proposed families Mooreiaceae fam. nov. and Catalimonadaceae fam. nov. in the phylum Bacteroidetes.
