Type species: ¤ Ciceribacter lividus Kathiravan et al. 2013.
Etymology: L. n. cicer -eris, the chickpea and also a botanical genus name (Cicer L.); N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Ciceribacter, a rod isolated from Cicer.
