Etymology: Gr. n. korallon, coral; Gr. fem. n. monas, a unit, monad; N.L. fem. n. Corallomonas, a bacterium isolated from a coral.

Etymology: N.L. gen. n. stylophorae, of Stylophora, isolated from a coral belonging to the genus Stylophora.
