Cycloclasticus Dyksterhouse et al. 1995, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Cycloclasticus pugetii Dyksterhouse et al. 1995.
Etymology: Gr. n. kuklos, circle or ring; N.L. adj. clasticus -a -um (from Gr. adj. klastos -ê -on, broken in pieces), breaking; N.L. masc. n. cycloclasticus, ring-breaker.

Cycloclasticus pugetii Dyksterhouse et al. 1995, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus.)

Etymology: N.L. gen. masc. n. pugetii, of Puget, named in honor of Peter Puget, a British naval officer who participated in the Vancouver Expedition and for whom Puget Sound was named.
