Type strain: (see also Global Catalogue of Microorganisms) description (the type specimen is from Calotermes flavicollis found in southern France).

Synonym: "Diplocalyx calotermitidis" Gharagozlou 1968.
Etymology: N.L. gen. n. calotermitidis, of Calotermes, named after the termite host Calotermes flavicollis.
