Type species: ¤ Emticicia oligotrophica Sha and Chakrabarti 2006.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Emticicia, arbitrarily formed from the acronym MTCC for Microbial Type Culture Collection and Gene Bank, where this investigation was carried out.
