Type species: ¤ Homoserinibacter gongjuensis Kim et al. 2014.
Etymology: N.L. n. homoserinum, homoserine; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Homoserinibacter, referring to the presence of homoserine in the cell wall.
