Type species: ¤ Imtechella halotolerans Surendra et al. 2012.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Imtechella, arbitrary name formed from the acronym of the Institute of Microbial Technology, IMTECH, where the type strain of the type species was characterized.
