Kineosporia Pagani and Parenti 1978, genus. (Type genus of the suborder ¤ Kineosporiineae Zhi et al. 2009; type genus of the family ¤ Kineosporiaceae Zhi et al. 2009).
Type species: ¤ Kineosporia aurantiaca Pagani and Parenti 1978.
Etymology: Gr. n. kinesis, motion; N.L. fem. n. spora (from Gr. fem. n. spora, a seed), a spore; N.L. fem. n. Kineosporia, an organism that has motile spores.
