Type species: ¤ Litorisediminicola beolgyonensis Yoon et al. 2013.
Etymology: L. n. litus -oris, the seashore, coast; L. n. sedimen -inis, sediment; L. suff. -cola (from L. n. incola), inhabitant; N.L. masc. n. Litorisediminicola, an inhabitant of coastal sediment, referring to the source of the organism.

Etymology: N.L. masc. adj. beolgyonensis, of or belonging to Beolgyo, from where the type strain was isolated.
