Nomenclatural type: ¤ Natrialba Kamekura and Dyall-Smith 1995.
Etymology: N.L. fem. pl. n. Natrialba, the type genus of the family; L. suff. -ceae ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Natrialbaceae, the family the nomenclatural type of which is the genus Natrialba.
