Phaselicystis Garcia et al. 2009 (complete authorship reads Garcia, Reichenbach and Müller), gen. nov. (Type genus of the family ¤ Phaselicystidaceae Garcia et al. 2009).
Type species: ¤ Phaselicystis flava Garcia et al. 2009.
Etymology: L. n. phaselos or phaselus, an edible bean, kidney bean; Gr. fem. n. kustis, bladder; N.L. fem. n. Phaselicystis, bean-shaped bladder, pertaining to the shape of the sporangiole.
