Etymology: Gr. adj. pseudês, false; N.L. masc. n. Citrobacter, a bacterial generic name; N.L. fem. n. Pseudocitrobacter, the false Citrobacter.

Etymology: Gr. n. anthropos, a human being; N.L. gen. n. anthropi, of a human being, since the type strain is from a human clinical specimen.
