Etymology: N.L. n. Rehaus, Rehai, referring to the isolation of the organism from Rehai National Park, Tengchong, Yunnan Province, south-west China; L. neut. n. bacterium, a small rod; N.L. neut. n. Rehaibacterium, a small rod from Rehai National Park.
