Type species: ¤ Tamlana crocina Lee 2007.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Tamlana, named after Tamla, the old name for Jeju Island, referring to the region where the bacterium was isolated.
Valid publication: LEE (S.D.): Tamlana crocina gen. nov., sp. nov., a marine bacterium of the family Flavobacteriaceae, isolated from beach sediment in Korea. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2007, 57, 764-769.
