Type species: ¤ Thermobrachium celere Engle et al. 1996.
Etymology: G. adj. thermos, hot; L. n. brachium, arm, branch; N.L. neut. n. Thermobrachium, referring to the branched cells observed frequently with this thermophilic bacterium.
