  • The family name Geodermatophilaceae was first published by Normand et al. [1], but a formal description and the designation of the type genus were not included, thus making the name not validly published. On 31 July 2002, the Judicial Commission [2] decided that an erratum should be published in IJSEM to validly publish the name Geodermatophilaceae with Geodermatophilus as type genus of the family.
