❗ Pseudonostocaceae is the correct name instead if this family is regarded as a separate family (i.e., if its nomenclatural type is not assigned to another family whose name is validly published, legitimate and not rejected and has priority).
🧍 According to Silva (1980) this superfluous name was initially applied to a family that included Camptothrix, the type of Camptotrichaceae W. West et G. S. West 1897, and Isocystis, the type of Isocystaceae (Borzì) Elenkin 1917. See also the comment on Nostocaceae.Publication:
