Etymology: An.der.se.ni.el’la. N.L. fem. dim. n. Anderseniella, named in honour of the late marine scientist Valérie Andersen, Observatoire Océanologique de Villefranche sur Mer, France, in recognition of her valuable work on marine ecosytems
