Etymology: Mi.ra.bi’li.a. L. masc./fem. adj. mirabilis, wonderful, marvellous; N.L. fem. n. Mirabilia, the name was chosen in homage to Paul Buchner who referred to the Auchenorrhyncha as a ‘veritable wonderland of insect symbiosis’
