Cha et al. (2011) assigned this genus to the family Flammeovirgaceae Yoon et al. 2011.Publication:
Cha IT, Oh YS, Park SJ, Park BJ, Lee JK, Lim CS, Park AR, Yoo JS, Lee DH, Rhee SK, et al.Reichenbachiella faecimaris sp. nov., isolated from a tidal flat, and emended descriptions of the genus Reichenbachiella and Reichenbachiella agariperforans. Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 2011; 61:1994-1999.
Later homonym of the plant genus Reichenbachia Sprengel 1823 and the insect genus Reichenbachia Leach 1826.
The names Reichenbachia is illegitimate because Reichenbachia Nedashkovskaya et al. 2003 is a later homonym of Reichenbachia Sprengel 1823 (a plant belonging to the family Nyctaginaceae) and a later homonym of Reichenbachia Leach 1826 (an insect belonging to the family Staphylinidae). Consequently, a new genus designation Reichenbachiella has been proposed by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005.Publication:
