Currently the type species of the genus, Seliberia stellata is not represented by any type strain. Therefore, Velázquez et al. 2015 requested the Judicial Commission to examine the status of the genus Seliberia Aristovskaya and Parinkina 1963 (Request for an Opinion, Int J Syst Evol Microbiol. 65, 2337–2340). This Request was denied in Opinion 112 because additional information would be needed. That is, the issue could be reconsidered in the future.Publication:
