🧍 Inappropriate spelling correction of Cyanobacteriota Oren et al. 2022 conducted by Aleksovski et al. (2025). While Cyanobacteriophyta appears to be the preferred spelling under the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants, Cyanobacteriota Oren et al. 2022 was directly validly published under the ICNP. According to the ICNP, the appropriate spelling is therefore Cyanobacteriota Oren et al. 2022. This appears to be an unresolved discrepancy between ICNP and ICNafp.
