- ❗ Arthrobacter echigonensis is the correct name instead if this species is regarded as a separate species (i.e., if its nomenclatural type is not assigned to another species whose name is validly published, legitimate and not rejected and has priority) within a separate genus Arthrobacter.
- 🎓 Name mentioned 4 times in PubMed until 2025-06-04.
- 🙅 This name is on the List of Recommended Names for bacteria of medical importance (LoRN) as a synonym of the name to be applied to this species. The name is on LoRN because of the recorded risk group of the genus.

🧍 In the April 2012 issue of the IJSEM, Zhou et al. propose to transfer Arthrobacter echigonensis Ding et al. 2009 in the genus Sinomonas as Sinomonas echigonensis (Ding et al. 2009) Zhou et al. 2012, comb. nov. The type strain is cited as LC10T (IAM 15385T CCTCC AB 206017T). The IAM number cited in the original publication is associated with a collection that had ceased to operate prior to publication of the paper. The JCM has accessed many of the IAM strains. IAM 15386 was accessed as JCM 21829. However, according to Dr. T. Kudo (JCM), the strain JCM 21829 was not available at the time of publication. So, according to Rule 30 (3b), the new combination Sinomonas echigonensis is not validly published.
