homotypic synonym, not validly published, basonym of name in Approved Lists
Notes:
According to Yabuuchi et al. (1979), this species is a later heterotypic synonym of Sphingomonaspaucimobilis (Holmes et al. 1977) Yabuuchi et al. 1990 but this is in conflict with the rules of the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes.Publication:

According to Yabuuchi et al. 1979 [1], to Holmes and Owen 1979 [2] and to the ATCC, the CCUG, the DSMZ, the LMG, and the ARS (NRLL), the strain ATCC 10829= CCUG 1819 = DSM 30198 = LMG 4017 = NRRL B-54 is a strain of Sphingomonas paucimobilis (Holmes et al. 1977) Yabuuchi et al. 1990 [basonym Pseudomonas paucimobilis Holmes et al. 1977 (Approved Lists 1980)]. Yabuuchi et al. 1979 [1] and Homes and Owen 1979 [2] also indicate that the type strain of Flavobacterium devorans which is currently in circulation does not correspond with the original strain. Holmes and Owen 1979 [2] wrote "We therefore consider that F. devorans should not be on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names when they are published on January 1,1980". However, Flavobacterium devorans appears in the Approved Lists, and the rejection of the name Flavobacterium devorans, was never published in the IJSB/IJSEM.Publication:
