Name: Hassallia andreassenii Komárek et al. 2012
Etymology: an.dre.as.se’ni.i. N.L. gen. masc. n. andreassenii, The speciWc epitheton was selected according to the name of the original locality. The type strain was isolated from the Antarctic Green Lake II, situated near Andreassen Point, which was called after a member of the Nordenskiöld’s expedition, which discovered and described this part of Antarctica.
