🧍 Baumann et al. deposited the type strain of Listonella pelagia (Beneckea pelagia) at the American Type Culture Collection as ATCC 25916, and at the National Collections of Industrial Food and Marine Bacteria as NCIMB (formerly NCMB) 1900. According to Macián et al. 2000, the strain ATCC 25916 and strains directly derived from ATCC 25916 (i.e. strain CECT 4202) really represent the originally described type strain whereas strain NCIMB 1900 and strains derived from NCIMB 1900 (i.e. strain CIP 102762) highly likely are representatives of Vibrio natriegens (Payne et al. 1961) Baumann et al. 1981.Publication:
