Etymology: tyr.rhe’ni.i. N.L. gen. neut. n. tyrrhenii, of the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of the Mediterranean Sea) which faces the location from which the soil sample was taken and from which the strain was isolated (sic) [probably better: tyrrhenica]
