homotypic synonym, not validly published, basonym of name in Approved Lists
According to Yarza et al. (2013), an "un-sequenced orphan species where descriptions, illustrations or dead preserved material serve as the type.".Publication:

Mycoplasma haemomuris Neimark et al. 2002 is illegitimate because it is a homotypic synonym of the type species of Haemobartonella but Haemobartonella has priority over Mycoplasma. The name is a revision of the former classification as "CandidatusMycoplasma haemomuris" and may not even be validly published.Publication:
Neimark H, Johansson KE, Rikihisa Y, Tully JG. Proposal to transfer some members of the genera Haemobartonella and Eperythrozoon to the genus Mycoplasma with descriptions of 'CandidatusMycoplasma haemofelis', 'CandidatusMycoplasma haemomuris', 'CandidatusMycoplasma haemosuis' and 'CandidatusMycoplasma wenyonii'. Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 2001; 51:891-899.
In 2001, Neimark et al. proposed the transfer of Haemobartonella muris to the genus Mycoplasma with the Candidatus status: "CandidatusMycoplasma haemomuris" Neimark et al. 2001. The Candidatus designation is for new, incompletely described taxa, in order to give them a provisional status; changing validly published names to Candidatus would lose their standing in nomenclature. So, Neimark et al. revise "CandidatusMycoplasma haemomuris" to Mycoplasma haemomuris nom. nov. — For the transfer of Haemobartonella muris (Mayer 1921) Tyzzer and Weinman 1939 (Approved Lists 1980) to the genus Mycoplasma Nowak 1929 (Approved Lists 1980) it is necessary to substitute a new specific epithet to produce Mycoplasma haemomuris because the name Mycoplasma muris McGarrity et al. 1983 already existed [Rules 34a and 41a].Publication:
