However, according to Rule 34a, Natrinema pallidum is a new species, not a nomen novum as proposed by McGenity et al. 1998. — Strain NCIMB 784, deposited as Halobacterium trapanicum by Formisano (1962) is regarded as synonymous with NCIMB 777.Publication:
