Name: Neisseria leonii Boutroux et al. 2024
Etymology: le.o’ni.i. N.L. gen. masc. n. leonii, of Léon, in honour of Léon Boutroux (1851-1921), a French chemist who worked under the direction of Louis Pasteur on glucose fermentation. He notably published a book on the chemistry of bread making in 1897
