🧍 Although ATCC 25971 was proposed as neotype for Nitrosospira briensis in 1971 [4], the Approved Lists 1980 [3] cite the type strain as "no culture available", hence leaving this species without a designated type strain. Since the Approved Lists, no neotype strain has been proposed in the IJSB/IJSEM, in accordance with the Rule 18c. A specific reaction to this Request for an Opinion was not found.Publication:
