  • The 16S rDNA sequence of the strain DSM 11549 indicates that it is a Rhodobium strain. The strain is identical with that held in the ATCC (ATCC 51105), but E. I. Kompantseva indicates that this strain does not correspond with the original description, indicating that an incorrect strain may be in circulation. See DSMZ website.
