Name: Rickettsia tillamookensis Gauthier et al. 2021
Etymology: till.a.mook.en’sis. N.L. fem. adj. tillamookensis, from Tillamook County, Oregon, USA from where a pool of western blacklegged (Ixodes pacificus) ticks were collected in 1967 and were used to obtain the primary isolate in 1976 [1]
