- 🧍 In Kilian's opinion [1] the change of the well-established name Streptococcus rattus may be a source of confusion. So, with reference to the first Principle of the Bacteriological Code (1990 Revision), Kilian requested that the original name Streptococcus rattus be conserved [2].
