🧍 The transfer of Thiobacillus delicatus (ex Mizoguchi et al. 1976) Katayama-Fujimura et al. 1984 to the genus Thiomonas Moreira and Amils 1997 as a distinct species, Thiomonas delicata (Katayama-Fujimura et al. 1984) Kelly and Wood 2006, is confirmed by its morphological and physiological properties, DNA-DNA hybridization, and the grouping of its 16S rRNA gene sequence with those of other species of the genus.
