Etymology: hyu.ga.en’sis. N.L. masc. adj. hyugaensis, of Hyūga province, a historic province in Japan, which corresponds to the modern Miyazaki prefecture, type strain of the species was isolated from a seawater sample collected in the Miyazaki prefecture [probably better: hyugensis]
