On the Validation List no. 8, Vibrio proteolyticus is erroneously proposed as a new species. — On the Validation List no. 8, the type strain was incorrectly given as NCMB 1 = ATCC 33125. The erratum published in the International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology  is also incorrect: "The type strain of Vibrio proteolyticus was incorrectly given as ATCC 15338; the type strain is ATCC 33125" (sic).
