Etymology: noe.nie.pu.ten’sis. N.L. fem. adj. noenieputensis, of or belonging to the settlement Noenieput, close to the Namibian border in South Africa, the location of the farm Springbokvlei, the source of the nematode (Malan et al., 2013)
