Name: Salmonella choleraesuis subsp. diarizonae corrig. Le Minor et al. 1985
Etymology: di.a.ri.zo.nae. Gr. adv. dis, two (erroneously used in place of bis) (also Latin adjective); N.L. gen. fem. n. arizonae, the specific epithet of a species of the genus Salmonella; N.L. gen. fem. n. diarizonae, the prefix di-, underlines that this subspecies encompasses the diphasic serovars previously included in the species Salmonella arizonae ("subgenus III" of Kauffmann)
