😷 The risk group for Germany has been imported on 2023-10-29. The full classification is: risk group = 2. — If in doubt, use the risk group given in the regulations for your country and, if these are not available, use the risk group given in the catalogue of the culture collection from which you have obtained or intend to obtain the strain.
🧍 Despite this fact, "Streptococcus infantarius subsp. infantarius" was cited in the Notification List published in the September 2000 issue of the IJSEM [2].Publication:
Anonymous. Notification list. Notification that new names and new combinations have appeared in volume 50, part 4 of the IJSEM. Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 2000; 50:1701-1702.
🧍 In the July 2000 issue of the IJSEM, Schlegel et al. [1] proposed the subspecies "Streptococcus infantarius subsp. infantarius" and "Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli". "Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli" Schlegel et al. 2000 may be considered to be not validly published (see Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli). Consequently, it would not be usual to cite this subspecies combination if a validly published species contains only one validly published subspecies combination (i.e. Streptococcus infantarius subsp. infantarius Schlegel et al. 2000).Publication:

🧍 In the May 2003 issue of the IJSEM, Schlegel et al. [3] describe again the subspecies Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli and Streptococcus infantarius subsp. infantarius. The name Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli Schlegel et al. 2003 may also not be in accordance with the rules of the ICNP, which would also call into question the use of the subspecies name Streptococcus infantarius subsp. infantarius Schlegel et al. 2003 at the present.Publication:
