🧍 Sheu et al. 2011 propose to transfer the type species of the type genus of the family Sinobacteraceae in the genus Solimonas. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Sinobacter to Solimonas. As a consequence, the name Sinobacter has incorrectly been interpreted as "defunct" and an inconsistency in nomenclature regarding the name Sinobacteraceae been assumed. Therefore, Losey et al. 2013 propose the name Solimonadaceae fam. nov. to include members of the genera Solimonas (entailing Sinobacter) and Fontimonas, which is not in accordance with the rules of the code.Publication:
