However, the headers of the genus and species protologues list this name as Fredinandcohnia, which makes no sense. While LPSN would have preferred to treat Fredinandcohnia as a misprint of Ferdinandcohnia, the IJSEM notification list used the spelling Fredinandcohnia. Since notification lists are entitled to conduct orthographical corrections, Fredinandcohnia needs to be accepted for the time being. LPSN now lists Ferdinandcohnia as a misspelling (although it not actually is as misspelling) in order to provide a separate entry for this actually preferable name.
