Name: "Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. toumanoffii" Krieg 1969
Etymology: tou.ma.nof’fi.i. N.L. gen. masc. n. toumanoffii, in memory of Prof. C. Toumanoff whose work at the Institut Pasteur (Paris) was, over a relatively long period, associated with the B. cereus-B. thuringiensis group, and who isolated this new type.
