Etymology: fra’se.ri. N.L. gen. masc. n. fraseri, in honor of David W. Fraser, who headed the investigation of the Legionnaires' disease outbreak in Philadelphia that led to the recognition of legionellosis and to the isolation of L. pneumophila [11]
