Etymology: Gr. adj. allos, another, the other, different; N.L. fem. n. Salinactinospora, a bacterial genus name; N.L. fem. n. Allosalinactinospora, the other Salinactinospora, referring to the fact that the genus is related phylogenetically to Salinactinospora.
