Type species: ¤ Arachidicoccus rhizosphaerae Madhaiyan et al. 2015.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Arachis, botanical generic name for peanut; N.L. masc. n. coccus, a coccus from Gr. masc. n. kokkos, a grain or berry; N.L. masc. n. Arachidicoccus, coccus associated with peanuts.
